Orenda Technologies, founded by our president Dick Kersey,
has been in the recreational water treatment business since
1990 with a specific focus on enzymes. Dick began his science
lessons in 1954 at Swarthmore College, and went on to serve
the United States Army as a Chemical, Biological & Radiological
Weapons specialist from 1958-1964. He has been a scientist
in one capacity or another ever since.

Our experience from a scientific perspective and our years of
working within the industry are our greatest credentials. Science
met pool-industry experience in 2005, when Harold Evans,
founder of The Pool Surgeon, was seeking answers to problems
in his repair business. The Pool Surgeon has been maintaining
pools in the Dallas area since 1982. At the advice of a major
pool-industry manufacturer, Harold approached Dick for
solutions to long-standing chemistry problems concerning
algae control. The exchange of knowledge that day would result
in the marriage of science and application that makes Orenda
Technologies stand out in the pool industry.
